Data engineer (medior)

In our BiH office, we are looking for an individual to join our growing data engineering team. This planned position would require an individual to analyze, design, and implement business intelligence systems for our international customers. One will combine various technologies to optimize data infrastructure further and create usable models to serve the customer decision-making process.

You will be a part of an experienced data engineering team that implements our projects with an agile mindset as a standard. Some of your responsibilities would require you to: 

• Create ETL / ELT jobs and data pipelines.
• Develop and support business intelligence systems on-prem and in the cloud.
• Model a holistic, scalable database architecture.
• Analyze heterogeneous data sources and their further processing options.
• Develop necessary interfaces and merging of different data sources.
• Develop Power BI solutions.
• Optimize ongoing processes and ensure modern DWH standards

For an individual to fit in perfectly into this back-end focused role, we would expect the following skills: 

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure (SQL Azure, Data Factory, ADLS, Synapse)
• Proficient knowledge of various databases, scripts and programming languages (SQL, PowerShell, Python, etc.)
• Experience with Alteryx
• Experience in data modeling (relational and multidimensional)
• Professional data engineering experience - at least 3 years
• Well-founded data warehouse know-how and ideally relevant experience in DWH construction
• Good working knowledge of any ETL tool
• Work experience within an Agile development environment.
• Commitment to teamwork and exchange with colleagues.
• Good communication skills and fluent English language.
