In our BiH office, we are looking for an individual to join our growing data engineering team. This planned position would require an individual to analyze, design, and implement business intelligence systems for our international customers. One will combine various technologies to optimize data infrastructure further and create usable models to serve the customer decision-making process.

Your Tasks

You will be a part of an experienced data engineering team that implements our projects with an agile mindset as a standard. Some of your responsibilities would require you to: 

  • Design and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Develop and support BI systems across on-premises environments, Microsoft Azure, and the unified Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
  • Model scalable database architectures, including relational warehouses and multidimensional Lakehouse structures..
  • Analyze heterogeneous data sources, develop robust APIs/interfaces, and merge diverse datasets into a "single source of truth".
  • Develop, optimize and consult on Power BI solutions, including data transformation (Power Query) and DAX modelling.
  • Ensure modern DWH/Lakehouse standards, focusing on performance tuning, data governance, and scalability.
  • Consult our clients with best know-how and best practices for optimal data modelling and visualizations.

Your Profile

We are looking for a versatile engineer who is comfortable with heavy-duty backend engineering but has the "Fullstack" vision to deliver user-ready insights: 

  • Professional data engineering experience - at least 3 years.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure (SQL Azure, ADLS Gen2, Synapse) and/or Microsoft Fabric.
  • Experience in Databricks (Spark, PySpark, Delta Lake).
  • Proficient knowledge of various databases, scripts and programming languages (SQL, PowerShell, Python, etc.).
  • Proficient in Power BI (including DAX and Power Query).
  • Strong experience in relational and multidimensional modelling.
  • Well-founded data warehouse know-how and ideally relevant experience in DWH construction.
  • Good working knowledge of any ETL tool.
  • Work experience within an Agile development environment.
  • Commitment to teamwork and exchange with colleagues.
  • Good communication skills and fluent English language. 
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipelines for data) would be a nice to have skill.
